Full course description
Our agency staff identified a demand about developing in the area of leadership. With this experience, you'll explore mulitple angles of how to become a well-rounded leader. You may not be sure what leadership entails. We hope to give you a well-rounded exploration into the field of leadership through multiple diverse ideas from a number of experts. This course is self-paced, and new content opens every 2 weeks. You'll be expected to participate through discussions and other activities.
We anticipate it will take you about 6 hours to complete this experience. It ends with a capstone experience that will include 3/4 of a day job shadowing a leader within our agency. You'll want to seek out someone you can shadow before we get to the end of the course.
Successful completers will earn a microcredential badge in leadership from VDOE that can be used as part of your professional portfolio.
